In this classic drink, the Drambuie softens the scotch while the scotch cuts right through the extreme sweetness of the Drambuie.
Yield: Makes two 3-ounce drinks
INGREDIENTS
- Ice for serving
- 4 ounces Scotch
- 2 ounces Drambuie (see Straight Up)
Directions
Fill the rocks glasses with ice.
Fill a cocktail pitcher with ice and add the scotch and Drambuie. Stir vigorously until the outside of the pitcher is beaded with sweat and frosty.
Strain into the glasses and serve.

GLASSWARE: Rocks glasses
STRAIGHT UP: Drambuie is a cordial that is a blend of scotch and honey. It tastes smoky, sweet, and herbal all at once. In Gaelic the name means "the drink that satisfied."
