The few recipes that are eggless call for sugar syrup, which can sit In the fridge for a full month: I like sugar syrup because it eliminates the step of, I dissolving the sugar and therefore also the time for cooling. It is particularly nice for those who are impatient.

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of water

Directions

Place 1 cup white sugar and 1 cup water in a small, saucepan and cook, over medium high heat, until the sugar has completely dissolved, about 3 minutes.

Set aside to cool, cover and refrigerate up to 1 month.
